1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CancelReminder ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including those who connect a Gmail account.

2. Description of service

CancelReminder is a personal finance tool that helps you track free trials, warranties, software licenses, domain renewals, insurance policies, and memberships. It connects to your Gmail inbox to automatically detect relevant emails based on subject lines and metadata, and sends push notifications before deadlines arrive.

3. Account registration

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use CancelReminder. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

You agree to provide accurate information and to promptly update it if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Gmail access

When you connect a Gmail inbox, you grant CancelReminder access to read email subject lines and sender metadata from your inbox. We do not read, store, or transmit email message bodies or attachments.

Gmail data is used solely to detect trial, warranty, license, and subscription emails and populate your dashboard. It is not used for advertising or shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

You may revoke Gmail access at any time by disconnecting your inbox from the Inboxes page or through your Google account settings.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service in a way that exceeds normal use

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding in CancelReminder are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission. Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership over items you track or emails we scan on your behalf.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that trial detection will be complete or error-free — some emails may not be detected, and detected dates may occasionally be incorrect.

CancelReminder is a reminder tool only. We are not responsible for charges you incur as a result of missed or incorrect alerts. Always verify cancellation deadlines directly with the relevant service provider.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CancelReminder and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Doing so permanently removes all your data from our systems and revokes Gmail access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or if the Service is discontinued.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
